Receipt Printers & Cash Drawers
Use Star Micronics bluetooth receipt printers and automatic cash drawers at your box office.
The ScaryGood Box Office app supports Star Micronics TSP100 series Bluetooth printers, as well as any compatible automatic cash drawer.
TSP143IIIBi2 Printer ($341)
We've been able to buy several of these printers on eBay for around $180.
These printers will say "TSP100III" on the front and have the Bluetooth status indicator on the front, these are the ones you want. If you don't see both of those, it's an incompatible printer.

Receipt paper rolls (10 for $23)
If you'd like a cash drawer that automatically pops open during a cash transaction, look for one that supports RJ11 / RJ12 data cables.
Here's a budget model ($46)
You'll also need a RJ11 / RJ12 data cable ($7)
Setting up your Printer
In order to set up your TSP100IIIBi2 series printer, it must be paired with your device in advance.
Ensure your printer is on
Open your devices Settings app
Click Bluetooth
Pair with your Printer
Open the ScaryGood Box Office App
Click Settings
Click "Add Printer"
If your Printer is paired with your device, your printer will show up. Click "Connect"
Click "Test Print" to make sure your printer is working
Setting up your Cash Drawer
Simply connect the Receipt Printer to your Cash Drawer using the RJ11 / RJ12 cable and it will automatically open when you complete a cash transaction.
Automatic Receipt Printing
If you'd like to automatically print receipts for every transaction, go to the Settings tab of the Box Office app, scroll to the Preferences section, and turn on "Auto print receipt."
Receipts will automatically include one QR code for the entire order that can be scanned by the customer to digitally open their tickets, or scanned from the Box Office app as well.
Customizing Receipts
You can add a paragraph to the top of your receipts in the Marketing / Texts & Receipts page of the Dashboard. We recommend thanking the customer as well as linking to your google business page asking for reviews!
Troubleshooting
If you ever have a problem with your printer, we recommend forgetting the device in your devices Settings app (in the Bluetooth section), removing it from the ScaryGood Box Office app, and then connecting it again in both places.
