It’s the week of September 22nd, and the hottest news in spooky shopping is here: the viral Smith & Clark Ironworks cast iron cauldrons and Halloween cookware have landed in U.S. HomeGoods stores. If you’ve ever dreamed of finding one in-store, this is the week to make it happen—shoppers are already spotting carts full of cauldrons and specialty pans across the country.
Here’s what savvy shoppers have spotted in stores so far:
A Little Background
Founded in 2019 under Tabletops Unlimited, Smith & Clark Ironworks has quickly become the go-to name for playful, trend-savvy cast iron. Their line blends durability with spooky whimsy—think pumpkin Dutch ovens, spider-embossed lids, coffin loaf pans, and the now-iconic cauldrons that went viral on TikTok last year. Affordable and collectible, these pieces double as hardworking cookware and Halloween décor.
Here’s what we’re looking for in stores this week!
- Classic black cast iron cauldron (4qt)– this is the one that went viral on TikTok last year, mostly because it looks cool AND you can actually cook with it. This one is back, and if you don’t find it in stores (for $34.99), order it on the Smith & Clark Clark website for $59.99 (currently sold out, but put your name on the waiting list).
- Classic black cast iron cauldron (6qt)– an even bigger version!
- Black cauldron with spooky green bubbling lid. I’m on the fence about this one, but I did go out to several stores over the weekend to try to see if it looked any better in person. I’m also not totally sure if this one is oven-safe because the lid does not appear to be cast-iron.
What do we think? Do we like this one? - Classic 4qt cast iron cauldron in purple. This is the one I’m really looking for, just to add to my cauldron collection (which I mentioned here). I’ve been to four HomeGoods stores so far and have not had any luck.
- Coffin loaf pan: I have one of these (from last year) and it is super cute! They are $24.99 in the store, or you can get this one on the Marshalls website for $25.99. Highly recommend. Here’s a photo.
6. 3qt Cast Iron Spider Lid Dutch Oven. This one is by Tabletop Unlimited (not Smith & Clark), but is spooky and cast iron so I included it on this list. This one is $39.99 on the Marshalls website, possibly less in stores.
